The limited treatment done by an untrained person in case of any disease or injury is called first aid . Its purpose is to make such arrangements in the minimum means that the time taken to bring the injured person to the condition of getting proper treatment, there is minimum loss. Therefore, first aid is the simple treatment done by trained or untrained persons with minimum means. Sometimes it also proves to be a life saver. First aid pedagogy is based on the basic principles of experimental medicine. A knowledge of it would enable educated men to, on the occasion of sudden accident or illness, save life, aid prognosis, or further worsen the condition of a wound, until the arrival of a physician or the removal of the patient to a place of safety .
